Learn about our innovative nitrogen membrane systems for shipboard use at next week’s KORMARINE show in Busan, Korea. We’re exhibiting with Dae Hwa Trading Company in stand 4J11. See you there!
We recently completed a project with a creative membrane solution for hydrogen separation in glycol manufacturing…And we published a white paper about it!
This project was unique because the feed gas operated at a low pressure, which meant that our typical process gas membrane separators were over-engineered for the system. Our team creatively proposed the idea to utilize a new membrane separator which is designed for small process gas and biogas separations.
“Using the PB6050 membrane separator makes sense in this processing facility. The low pressure, large gas flow volumes, and economic considerations all made this product and configuration the clear choice to meet all of the customer’s requirements.”
Don Henry – Senior Engineer, Air Products
The system used 104 PB6050 membrane separators for an economical hydrogen solution. Read the white paper here.
Our membranes facility in Norway specializes in shipboard nitrogen membrane solutions. The NC 1 membrane system is the smaller unit in the series and supplies up to 420 cubic meters of nitrogen per hour. See the features, specifications, and operating functions of the NC1 here.
Our Air Products Norway office was recently nominated for the ONS Innovation Award 2016. The focus of this recognition centered on the team’s revolutionary membrane system concept for CO2 capture.
“Among 130 entries, we are extremely proud to be selected as one of five finalists. We are thrilled to be recognized as an innovative company that works to solve one of the major problems connected to a deteriorating climate and global warming.” said Tom Cantero, Managing Director of Air Products Norway.
A pilot membrane system for CO2 capture is already in operation at a cement factory in Brevik, Norway. Future large-scale developments are underway.
